Hue Imperial Citadel
which houses the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, and the Emperor's Private Residence. The Nguyen's Dynasty (Vietnam's last feudalist state) erected the Hue Citadel from 1804 to 1833. The Imperial City grounds are guarded with 2-kilometer-long walls and surrounded by a moat. There are numerous distinct building works inside the Citadel, such as the Imperial City Gates, the Purple Forbidden City, Temples and places of worship, pavilions, and gardens.
Thien Mu Pagoda in Hue
is a functioning Buddhist temple that dates back to 1601. One of the most moving exhibits is an automobile belonging to a former monk who, in 1963, drove to Sai Gon and burned himself on fire in protest of the South Vietnamese regime's treatment of Buddhist monks and followers.
The Tomb of Khai Dinh Emperor
also known as the Ung Mausoleum, is a tomb erected for Khai Dinh, the twelfth Emperor of Vietnam's Nguyen dynasty. It combines Vietnamese and Western architectural influences. After an 11-year building period, the tomb was finished in 1931. It is situated atop Chau Chu mountain, close to Hue, the historic capital city. The mausoleum was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993 as part of the Hue Monuments Complex.
Thuy Xuan Incense Village in Hue
once famed for creating incense for the ancient dynasties in the imperial city of Hue, has earned a spot on the tourism map of Hue Province in central Vietnam. Thuy Xuan Village, located approximately seven kilometers southwest of the city center, has succeeded in adapting the traditional village into an intriguing tourist attraction during the last ten years.
15:30: Return to the meeting point at the Port Exit Gate.
End of Trip. See you again.
