You will be picked up from the outside Ha Long Port Exit Gate

Begin your trip by seeing the Ho Chi Minh complex

which comprises the One-Pillar Pagoda, his stilt residence, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The Vietnam Ethnology Museum provides information on the cultures of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups.

Proceed to the Hoa Lo Prison Museum

which was first used to jail political prisoners by French colonists in Indochina and then by North Vietnam to house American POWs during the Vietnam War. During this later period, American POWs called it the "Hanoi Hilton".

The afternoon Hanoi excursion begins with a visit to the Temple of Literature

(or one of Hanoi's museums, such as the Hilton Hanoi, Military Museum, Museum of History, Ethnology Museum, and so on), followed by a visit to West Lake and the oldest pagoda, Tran Quoc.

Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake and the French Quarter (Old Quarter Hanoi)

where you may visit Ngoc Son Temple, The Huc Bridge, and Ma May's antique residence. Explore the Old Quarter to learn about the vibrant daily lives of Hanoians. The trip closes with a 30-minute pedicab/rickshaw ride around Hanoi's Old Quarter.
